This Sunday, November 13 at 6:30pm. RSVP!
Getting cold outside? How about some Chinese tea?
FED: Chinese Tea Ceremony will feature Yaju Christina He, a Chinese artist, classical pianist, and financial analyst. Ever since arriving in United States, Yaju has been passionate about introducing American audiences to the grandeur and beauty of Chinese culture. Trained as a tea specialist in China, Yaju is particularly interested in the relationship between the art of the tea ceremony, Chinese music, and Eastern philosophy.
In her FED talk, Yaju will be demonstrating and distilling core life-wisdom from the ancient and venerated practice of the tea ceremony.
But what's going on in the kitchen?! I'll be cooking up a four-course, pescatarian Chinese feast, with the expert guidance of my dear friend, the Chinese-born Shasha Isabella Yan. Here's the menu we cooked up and will deliver to you on Sunday!
Appetizers
Vegetarian Dumplings
Scallion Pancakes
Crispy Tofu with Dipping Sauce
Soup
Congee with Thousand Year Egg and Vegetables
Main Course
Zhajiang noodles
Tea-Smoked Fish
Rice Steamed in Matcha
Dessert
Zangzi (Rice Dumplings in Bamboo Leaves)
